One of the best Fish and Chips I have ever had. Perfectly cooked! Crispy light batter, not too greasy and the fish was whiter than white. Genuinely couldn’t find fault with anything.

Really good fish and chips and very reasonably priced. The young girls serving were cheerful and friendly. Will certainly visit again when in Cleethorpes.

We always sit inside the takeaway part of the chippy, and the food is always spot on. The cod is cooked fresh so you wait a little while whilst it’s cooked.

The fish chips are excellent at this place cooked In oil with skin on the fish could give 10 stars ! The staff were like family members superior customer experience and beyond price cheaper than any other Chipy close by in Cleethorpes also nice sit in !

Absolutely delicious! Lovely place. Nice staff. Nice decor. Lovely atmosphere. But the food was so tasty! My chicken burger was amazing as was the chips & yummy gravy. First visit here. Next time I’m in cleethorpes I’ll be visiting again. Five star on trip advisor! Well worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

Lovely fish and chips. Good OAP offer just the right size. Pleasant staff. Nice clean toilets and the best feature is they allow dogs.

First time visiting today from searching on Google and Trip advisor for top rated chip shops. Found this place with ease and it didn't disappoint. Superb service, friendly staff, prepared and cooked the fish to order. Overall best we have had in Cleethorpes, it was a little pricey as we had the Cod but would still visit again next time we visit Cleethorpes.

The staff there were very friendly and the atmosphere in general was very warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous! In fact they were so generous I couldn’t eat all of mine. The prices were very reasonable too for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back soon! Would highly recommend meggies!!!!- Service

All produce served very very fresh to order in the restaurant . A well priced chippy tea of fish chips b&b curry sauce and a mug of tea to sit down was around £8.60 , and was plenty , I did share my fish as it was a big one , but very nice . Recommended for the big eater . Always a pleasure to visit since this posting we have returned time and time again it really is a great traditional fish and chips shop/restaurant that is great value for a tourist area and a totally independent local business , I hope they continue to do well !! .- Food

Had an afternoon in Cleethorpes 15th August 25 . We struggled to find a shop that fried in vegetable oil , fortunately we found Meggies . The fish was cooked to order and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were pleasant and attentive and the shop was immaculate. I ran a fish and chip shop for over 10 years and therefore feel qualified in giving them 10/10 . We will be back for more .

The food was beautifully served and very reasonable. The staff couldn’t do enough and were very friendly. I would ,and have , recommended Meggies to all our friends. If you’re going to Cleethorpes give it a go. You’ll not be disappointed.

Have been to Papas on a few occasions and have been disappointed lately. Thought we'd give Meggies a try after several recommendations on gluten free sites. Certainly not disappointed. Hands down better than Papas in every way. Smaller, therefore quieter Better food Cheaper Can't ask for more than that!

It's located just a few shops Way from the main street but it's worth walking there for a quick lunch. Good value and freshly prepared light battered fish! The chips are nice with curry sauce / peas.. The fish & chips are way better than a lot of the branded shop around 5b4 area. The owner is very nice and friendly during our visit! Would recommend and eat here again

We had a fantastic day out in cleethorpes After travelling to cleethorpes for the Grimsby notts county football match which got called off. Stumbled across meggies by accident but was well worth it. Excellent value for money the fish was delicious and massive! Staff were very friendly chatting to us made us feel very welcome highly recommend meggies and would definitely return thank you
